Program Director, New Directions, Seminole Community College, Sanford, Florida
July 1995-June 2001, and June 2002 - present Directed the New Directions program for single parents, displaced homemakers, and pregnant single women. Intake, assessment, counseling new program participants, recruiting, retaining and placement of students, managing and allocating grant funding and continually developing new resources. Recruiting and maintaining over 200 volunteer mentors. Enrollment increased by 600% and funding and scholarships by one million dollars during tenure.
Associate Dean of Adult Education Services, Seminole Community College October 2000-June 2002 Provided administrative support to the Dean, Directors, Faculty and Staff of Adult Education. Coordinated and administered academic and disciplinary measures to over 4,000 full-time students.
Social Science Instructor, Seminole Community College June 1990-July 1995 Taught between 18-24 every term. U.S. History, American Government, Economics, Law Studies, Legal Systems and Concepts.
Volunteer January 1974-June 1988 As a stay-at-home-Mom and student volunteered for the Papanicolaou Cancer Research Institute as a fundraiser for the Central Florida Woman's Corp. During the 14-year time period the Woman's Corp. raised over nine million dollars.
