Tools of the Trade DVDs and Instructors GuidesPreview Video Clips in the WomenTechStore.com The Tools of the Trade series will teach your female (and male!) students about basic trade -specific equipment by modeling the use of each tool while putting it into a real-world context to which students can relate. Women tend to have less informal tool-use experience outside of the classroom and therefore find it more difficult to identify tools when they enter the trades. With these videos, women (and men) can not only see how the tools look, but also view their application.
Your students will get a real world glimpse of what it’s like to be a plumber, a carpenter, a mason, a welder, an electrician, or an automotive technician. Each DVD is 19-32 minutes long and comes with a downloadable instructors guide detailing educational standards, vocabulary, discussion questions, and project ideas for your students!
